Youngstown: There will be a memorial service on Friday, November 9 2012 at 6:30pm. at Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd., Boardman for Betty Lou Allen, 88 who died Saturday evening, November 3, 2012 at Omni Manor West, formerly of Afton Avenue and Crestline Place in Boardman.

Betty was born November 5, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Neal and Florence Leone (Nutt) Reynolds.

She graduated from South High School and lived in the Youngstown area. Betty was worked in the cafeterias for the Boardman Local Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church.

Her husband, Robert George Allen whom she married on April 8, 1947, died November 2, 2000.

Betty is survived by a son Robert N. (Doreen) Allen of Bell Flower, California, two daughters Christine Mumford of Lorain, Ohio and Linda Armstrong of Boardman, six grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Jon, James, Evan, Travis and eight great grandchildren, and a brother William N. (Marnie) Reynolds, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas.

Besides her parents, William and Florence, and husband, Robert, Betty was preceded in death by a sister Doris A. Lanz.

Family and friends may call on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.at Evangel Baptist Church, Boardman.
