Barbara Ann Bowser

Austintown: There will be funeral services on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at Thompson~Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market, Street, Boardman for Barbara Ann Bowser, 82 who passed away Sunday evening, February 16, 2014 at Valley Care Northside Medical Center.

Barbara was born February 11, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late William J. and Effie (Hake) Bowser.

She graduated from South High School in 1950. Barbara worked for General Electric at the Youngstown Lamp Plant for 28 years, retiring in 1988.

She was a member of the former John Knox Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where she served as a Deacon and a member of the JOY Class.

Barbara is survived by her nephews and nieces, Joseph (Diane) Ignazio, James (Diana) Ignazio, Pamela (Tim) Beebe, Daniel Thomas, David (Debbie) Ignazio, Jeff (Julie) Bowser and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William J. Bowser II, two sisters Florence Bowser and Beverly Ignazio, Niece; Kim Thomas and nephew William J. Bowser III.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Thompson~Filicky Funeral Home, Boardman and 1 hour prior to funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
