Kansas: Memorial services are being held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Angela Maria Jones, 83 formerly of Florida, who died Thursday morning, December 13, 2012 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Kansas.

Angela was born on May 20, 1929 in New York City, New York the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelita (Llinas) Fernandez.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

Her husband Richard M. Jones, whom she married in October 1, 1975, died July 31, 2007.

Angela is survived by her children Ellen A. Maxwell of Kansas City, Missouri, William J. (Amy) Menezes of Denver, Laura J. (Ken) Kuick of Las Vegas, Nevada, stepchildren; Beverly (Dave) Dyminski of Pittsford, N.Y., Richard Jones and Sid (Kathy) Jones of Boardman, Mark (Beth) Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother Joseph (Lily) Fernandez of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.

Besides her parents and husband, Angela was preceded in death by a grandson.
