BOARDMAN – There will be a prayer service on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10 am at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market in Boardman, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christine Catholic Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave. in Youngstown, with Fr. John Keehner officiating, for Timothy James Loree, 63, who passed peacefully early Monday morning, April 3, 2017.

Timmy will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his quick wit, humor, and his devotion to friends and family. 

Timothy, the son of Joseph and Rose Marie Marciella Loree, was born on May 23, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio. 

Timmy attended St. Christine’s Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Ursuline High School in 1971. After graduation, Timmy continued his education at Youngstown State University.  While at YSU, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. He was the President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon for two years while at Youngstown State University.

Together with his parents, the late Joseph and the late Rose Marie Marciella Loree, and his brothers, Joseph Jr. and Robert, the family began The Sandwich Factory Incorporated in 1972. With a desire to expand their business, Timothy and his family established JTB Incorporated in 1975.  Timothy and his father enjoyed business opportunities involving property and real estate including The Wooden Keg Bar and Restaurant in Lordstown and Danny G’s on Youngstown’s West Side.  With Timothy’s guidance and perseverance, the family’s business eventually grew to include The Sandwich Factory Franchise System, JOTIMBO and The Loree Group. 

Timothy enjoyed golfing and traveling.  He traveled to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Windsor, Canda and Pensacola Beach, Florida recreationally with his golf leagues.  Timothy was a dedicated Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed following sports. He participated in the Mill Creek Little League and was a coach for the Mill City Pony League. He enjoyed solving crossword and Sudoku puzzles.

Timothy is survived by his brother Joseph William (Patrice) Loree Jr. of Poland, and Robert Lewis (Victoria) Loree of Boardman.  Timothy, lovingly known as “Uncle Tic” , will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews: Jason (Abbey) Loree, Richard Loree, Michelle Loree, Gerald Ludt, Aimee Loree, Christine (Joseph) Frigone and Joseph Robert Loree; and his great nieces and nephews: Leo, Lorenzo, Austin, McKenzie and Tyler. He will be sadly missed by his first cousins who he was raised with: Michael, Richard, Billy, Robert and Jackie Campbell.

Family and friends may call on April 6,2017 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home on 4221 Market Street in Boardman and on Friday, April 7th from 9 to 10 am at the funeral home.
