Walter F. Lemley, 84

      Poland:  Walter F. Lemley, 84, passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2018 at Hospice House in Poland. 

      Walter, known as “Wally”, was born August 11, 1933 in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Fred J. and Hazel (Donley) Lemley. 

      Wally graduated from Mount Morris High School and later moved to the Youngstown area, to work in his brother-in-law, Kenny Furman’s service station. 

      He was an auto mechanic for Kenny’s Sohio in Youngstown for over 20 years, at North Jackson Car Care and at Wallace Oil Company, from which he retired in 1995. 

      Wally was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian in Youngstown. 

      Wally is survived by two brothers, David (Becky) Lemley and Donald (Nancy) Lemley, both of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. 

       Besides his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his wife 54 years, the former Dorothy Mae Scott whom he married on September 23, 1961, died, September 28, 2015; three brothers, James Lemley, Jack Lemley and Bob Lemley; and two sisters, Carrie Lee Furman and Ailene Kennedy. 

      There are no calling hours.

      There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date for Wally. 

      The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio  44512-2198 in memory of Wally. 

      The family would like to recognize Dr. Eggleston and his staff, Marlene Gerhardstein & family and Hospice of the Valley for their love, care and support that they gave to Wally and his family during this time.
