Youngstown:  There will be funeral services held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Ronald C. Loree, 78, who passed away Friday evening, July 14, 2017 at Beeghly Oaks.

Ron was born September 22, 1938 in Youngstown, the son of the late Louis and Agnes (Bannon) Loree and was a lifelong area resident. .

Ron was a proud United States Army Veteran, where he earned the rank of Specialist (E-4) and served from 1958 through 1966 in the Army, during the Vietnam War. He then continued his serve to our country by serving in the National Guard for 3 years.   

Ron worked for Royal Crown Distributors in Youngstown, as a delivery driver and later, worked for General Motors in Lordstown on the assembly line, retiring in 1981. 

He enjoyed doing word seek puzzles was avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Brown fan.

Ron leaves behind his daughter, Letty A. Loree of Youngstown; son-in-law, Ed Martines of Boardman; two nephews, Joseph W. (Patrice) Loree, Jr. of Poland and Robert L. (Vicky) Loree of Boardman  

Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, the former Martina C. Malik whom he married on May 30, 1959 and she passed away on August 24, 1997; a daughter, Lorraine A. Martines, a brother Joseph W. Loree, Sr., and a nephew Timothy J. Loree.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 9:30 am until 10:25 am at the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, Boardman. 

Entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield with full military honors provided by the great men of the VFW Ellsworth and the United States Army.
