Amelia “Susie” Streb

     Niles:  Amelia S. Streb passed away Sunday evening, January 21, 2018 at Vista at the Ridge, with her loving family by her side. 

     Amelia, known as “Susie” was born in Youngstown, to the late Secundino and Jennie (Guidicanno) Filaccio. 

     She graduated from The Rayen School and was a resident of Youngstown, until 1997, when she moved Niles.

     Susie worked for Parkard Electric in Warren for over 31 years, retiring in 1998 as an Inspector.

     She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, crocheting and going to casinos.    

     Susie is survived by her VERY devoted husband and best friend of 35 years, Robert L. Streb, whom she married on September 16, 1995; five children, Diane (Mike) Gross of New York, Denise (Jay) Fisher of Philadelphia, Pa, David Wahpole of Girard, Angela Streb of New Castle, Pa. and Robin Streb of Poland; three granddaughters, Stephanie Fray of Poland, Jennifer Fisher of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ava Trevelline of Girard. 

     Besides her parents, Susie is preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Filaccio and Louis Filaccio and her infant sister.

     Per Susie requests, there will be no calling hours or services at this time. 

     The family would like to recognize the staff at Vista at the Ridge and Hospice of the Valley for their love, care and support that they gave to Susie and her family at this time. 

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street in Boardman.
